Hannah Singleton/ChorleyHi I am wondering if any one can help me with any information about Hannah singleton who lived on Crow Lane in 1900, she had a daughter Doris Singleton born August 1900 .Hannah is listed on the 1901 as married but there is no mention of a husbands name and I can't find a marriage for Hannah to any one called Singleton . There is another family called Singleton living on Crow Lane at the time, could they be any relation? Hannah married a Harry Chorley in 1902. Can anyone shed any light on who the mr singleton Hannah was married to was as he would be my great grandfather as Hannah was my great grandmother .
Re: Hannah Singleton/ChorleyIs this the same family in which you inquired about before?
If so. I think you mentioned Chandos St. There was a Singleton family living at No 34, and the head of the household was a Joseph Singleton, and a son who at that time, 1894/5, was of the same name. I think they were both wheelwrights. Mike
Re: Hannah Singleton/ChorleyHi mike yes it is the same Doris but this time I'm interested in her mother Hannah who the 1901 census has listed as Hannah singleton of crow Lane and she is listed as married but can't trace who to. She later went to live in cross lane when she married Harry Chorley. I know all about that marriage but can't find out who this mr Singleton is as there is no marriage record that I can find.
